Gulabo Sitabo Movie Review

Locking theaters closed due to Corona virus. For the past three months, not a single star-studded film has been released. But finally, Gulabo Chittagong is now ready to stream on a digital platform, and thanks to the pair of Ayushmann Khurrana and Amitabh Bachchan for this film. In addition, under the leadership of Shoojit Sircar, he has produced memorable films with Vicky Donor [2012] and Bikku [2015] respectively. So is GULABO SITABO as memorable as the movies mentioned above? Or is it wrong to impress? let's study.

Gulabo Chittagong is the story of a competition between a tenant and a landlord. Mirza Sunnan, 78, married Nawab (Amitabh Bachchan), Fatima Begum (Farooq Jaffer), who was almost 17 years older than him. Begum is the owner of the over a century old palace called Fatima Mahal in Lucknow where she lives. But since she is a bit old and a bit wrong, Mirza will take care of Hurley. A portion of the Fatima Mahal is given to the tenants, one of whom is Bandgi Rastogi (Ayushman Kurran). Banki's family has been living as a tenant in the mansion since ages, and Mirza now wants to evict Bangi and his family as they have Rs. 30 month rent. Mirza's request to increase the rent was always met with strong objections from the bank, which angered the former. With no funds, Mirza could not even replace the mansion, which was in a state of complete disarray. The condition is so bad that only one baggy kick breaks the bathroom wall. While Banki makes it clear that maintenance is the responsibility of the owner, Mirza demands that Bangi pay compensation. The matter went to the police and they asked to take the matter to civil court. At the police station, Gyanesh Shukla (Vijay Ross) of the Archeology Department listened to him. He followed them and realized that Fatima Mahal was a heritage property. He started clicking on the secret, but Bungie felt ashamed of him. However, Dnyanesh tells him and the other tenants that the mansion has a traditional value and can collapse anytime. They suggested that they allow Fatima Mahal to donate to their department and then organize it and turn it into a museum. In return, he would give them a nice flat shape with all the features. Mirza, on the other hand, meets Christopher Clarke (Brijendra Kala), a lawyer, who suggests that he should first sell the mansion to solve the problems of tenants at once. While bargaining, he can also get a beautiful amount. However, Begum is the owner of the property and her siblings can also own the property. As a result, Mirza took issue with a counter-certificate to find out whether Begum's side were still alive and whether they could in connection with the sale of the mansion. What happens next forms the rest of the film.

The story of Juhi Chaturvedi is promising and novel. We read movies about the atrocities that tenants face. But it is also a fact that the owner is being unfairly harassed, a rare film that will focus on that aspect. However, this is not entirely appropriate for the screen opinion of Juhi Chaturvedi. The film has some interesting characters and settings, and you can do them with them. However, Juhi allowed that opportunity to pass. Juhi Chaturvedi's dialogues are conversational and simple, some of them very sharp and funny.

The instruction of Shujit Sircar is disciplined. He has a weak script on hand and therefore, he cannot do more. However, we saw the beauty presented by him in films like Vicky Donor and Bikku. Gulabo Chittagong is in the same area, but its direction is desirable. On the positive side, he beautifully captured the essence of Lucknow. On the big screen, it will be pleasant to enjoy. He also publishes great shows from his artists. On the flip site, the humor disappears and it makes a lot of difference. Also, some developments are confusing, especially in relation to Mirza's character. On the one hand, she must have been smart and thoughtful about money, which is why she married Begum. But on the other hand, he is so humble that he does not even know the goods he sells and the true value of the mansion he has been living in for decades.

Gulabo Chittagong begins with a humble note, introducing the characters (including the mansion), the title, and the relevance of the world in which they live. The background mark and circumstances also give the impression of a comic semper, but the film has almost no funny moments. When the film is real, Mirza stands in the middle of the road and eventually gets a funny scene. Thanks to the introduction of Dnyanesh Shukla and Christopher Clarke, things have gone well with this, and it adds a lot to the play of an arrangement between Mirza and Bungie. Although the film clings to each other, no one remembers the wonderful or funny thing that happens to the characters. This only happens in the last 10–15 minutes. The plot of the story is certainly unpredictable and while it is not completely unbelievable, it ends the film with a good note.

Amitabh Bachchan gives a devastating performance. Her makeup looks spot-on and the way she gets into the character's skin completely is believable. He influences with his expressions. In this regard, two scenes that actually stand alone when he woke up on the street and Vijay Ross were searching for the mansion while he was investigating. Ayushmann also makes Khurana happy, but his screen time is less than Amitabh's. This is the second time in a row that Ayushmann has expanded his supporting role after Shoop Mangal Jayata Chavatan [2020]. Farooq Jaffer plays a key role and leaves a big mark. In fact he was throwing the show in two main shots in the second half. Vijay Ross and Brijendra Kala are as reliable as ever. Srishti Shrivastava (Kudo) is very optimistic. Purnima Sharma (Faukia), Ananya Dwivedi (Neetu), Ujli Raj (Payal), Sunil Kumar Verma (Mishra Ji), Jogi Malang (Munmun Ji), Rajeev Pandey (Police Inspector) and Behram Rana (Abdul Rahman) performed well. are doing.

Music inanimate shelves by Chandanu Moitra, Abhishek Arora and Anuj Kork. The music theme is sexy and works well. 'Madari Ka Bandar' is another song that suits the theme of the film. The rest of the songs like Ya Kuiya League Aayo Jakme ',' Kanjus ', av Budav' will never be forgotten. The background icon is comical and excellent.

Avik Mukhopadhyay's cinematography is excellent and captures the beauty of Lucknow and especially the dilapidated haveli. Mansi Dhruv Mehta's product design also adds a lot to the reality of the film. The same goes for Veera Kapoor e clothes. None of the distance characters seems attractive and is not in favor of the film. Pia Cornelius's cosmetic prosthetics design is excellent and enhances its effect. Chandrasekhar Prajapati's editing is over. Although the film is only 124 minutes long, it feels a bit slow.

Overall, Gulabo Chittagong is a nice rest to see home. Despite the lack of humor and mediocre script, the film works mainly because of the productions, the Lucknow setting and the final cycle.
